2010 "To Congo with Love" Tour
Gorethy and Bona Nabushosi will be returning to the Bukavu Region in South Kivu (Dem. Rep. or Congo) with Board Members and Ministry Partners to visit the Walungu Orphanage and seek to expand humanitarian support of the region.

Gorethy and Bona Nabushosi will be visiting local churches and the Congolese community in Salt Lake City to educate and promote the humanitarian work in Eastern Congo.

Meet Our Founder
Welcome to Congo Restoration.
We are a Christian NGO working in partnership with individuals, churches and humanitarian organizations who are passionately seeking the healing and restoration of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Over the last 15 years the largest humanitarian crisis since the Holocaust has occurred in Eastern Congo while being largely ignored by rest of the world.
This geopolitical struggle has lead to the death of almost 5.4 million people yet political and economic interests have distanced powerful nations from becoming involved in this crisis. Since the 2008 imprisonment of the primary militant group's leader and a joint military effort with the country of Rwanda, the hope of peace has finally come to Eastern Congo. It is our belief that a time of peace and restoration is finally at hand for those who have lived under the oppression of war for so long.
We hope you will partner with us in helping build bridges of hope and places of refuge in Eastern Congo.
Since coming to the United States in 1998 as a refugee, Gorethy Nabushosi has been seeking to build bridges of hope between Western countries and her war torn homeland of the Democratic Republic of Congo. With the support of her husband, Bona, and their 6 children, the Nabushosis have been working to raise awareness and support for the refugees, orphans and women who have been the most vulnerable to the atrocities of war. Since that time, Congo Restoration has emerged as an initiative to establish Christian outreach and humanitarian support the communities and villages of Eastern Congo.

Congo Restoration is seeking partners to help focus on the needs of three primary risk groups in the South Kivu region of Eastern Congo:
Orphans
Women of Rape
Widows
Although whole communities are in need of humanitarian aid, we are focusing on these individuals because they are the most vulnerable and have the least amount of social support.
